The Sunburst Suite

The Sunburst Suite was composed to capture the vibrant energy and excitement of young chamber musicians. The movements of this work can be performed as standalone pieces or as a kind of build-your-own adventure. Each movement is titled after a nature-themed mythical being or event and intentionally reflects a multitude of musical styles.
 
Lasting around 1-2 minutes per movement and ranging from G3-G5, each movement is approachable for early high school students while still presenting a fun and engaging challenge. Movement titles and preferred order for full composition can be seen below:
