Mother Chaos was formally established in 2022 during a recital at the International Women's Brass Conference. Kristy and Jen's friendship, however, began a decade prior while studying at the University of Arkansas. Since then, Oliverio and Mezines have taken recital tours, performed at conferences like the SHE Festival of Women in Music, the North American Brass Band Championships, and the Midwest Trumpet Festival, and engaged in numerous recording projects. Most recently Mother Chaos has been writing and premiering new works for cornet/flugelhorn and piano. The name Mother Chaos was inspired by the lived experiences of moms (us) at professional conferences with our kids.
